Dead on Arrival

I got this home and it won't even power on. How do you charge $1,300 for an appliance with such poor quality control? So, a 58 mile round trip, 2 dryer cables and brand new breakers (just in case), and now I have to load it back up and take it back to have it replaced? What a joke! A few years ago, I bought a cheap GE dryer at a consignment shop for $234. That thing lasted nearly 6 years, 4 moves in 3 states, and is still going strong. We ONLY purchased this becasue our family has a new addition and we need a larger capacity, but this issue proves that high cost does not mean high quality.

This is the worst appliance that I have ever owned. It will not dry clothes properly. Most of the time clothes come out damp and wrinkled. (temp - one setting down from hot (hottest just about catches load on fire) - dryness all the way up). When they finally dry most are wrinkled. Clothes are sorted with like fabrics and weights. I've played with factory default settings, changed venting, cleaned venting, blah blah. 2 service calls - can't find anything wrong. The 10 year old dryer it replaced worked fine. About the only thing that works is the stream refresh - because I have to use it every other load. The water savings from the matching washer is negated by the electricity I am using trying to dry clothes.
