DISPOSABLE! EXPECT TO HAVE YOUR WASHER FAIL!!

Purchased in 2014 paid a premium for what was supposed to be a premium product. With less than normal use now today 8/1/2019 the washer completely fails. I called a service repairman to come and assess the washer and have been told that it needs over $600 of repairs. He recommended I call Whirlpool and ask them to send the parts and gave me a detailed list of the parts. I called Whirlpool spent 1hour and 8 minutes politely asking for them to send me parts so I can have my washer repaired. So according to them (3 tiers of representatives) my washer and dryer only has a 1 year warranty and whirlpool can not help me in any way. After some research I have come to the conclusion that this is a common problem across their line of top load washers. I do not believe the whirlpool company is making a quality washing machine anymore and definitely does not stand behind their product. I would recommend a class action lawsuit to anyone who may read my review. I at least had the for site to record my conversation with the representatives and plan on moving forward with legal action. No company should charge for a premium product and not stand behind it. It is sad all of this is just so sad.

5 Years of nothing but trouble. Now it needs $400 part replaced. Ill never buy another Whirlpool product and adviceze ALL my customers (HVAC/R and appliance service and repair) and family and friends to avoid them.

i love this washer. but unfortunately the cover area is not made very sturdy. it broke at the 3 year mark and trying to get lowe's to repair it was awful. 1.5 more years, and im still having a hard time trying to get someone to repair it because of the area that i live. been trying to research to see if im able to repair it myself and it may cost (with the placement lid since the back piece is not offered separately) almost as much as a new washer. (we bought this for a deal at lowes it was about 450). make the cover area sturdier! :(

The washer is WAY too tall- I am 5/3" and I cannot reach the clothes at the bottom. This is maybe also why the clothes are not getting clean enough, and they do not spin well- come out quite damp. I want to return this item. The dryer is better but the lint filter is so annoying! Why make it so you have to spend 5 minutes taking it out and unfolding it? Terrible design here.
