It is so quiet I thought it was broke.......

I have had the Maytag Centennial for almost a year. It does an excellent job of cleaning even the dirtiest cloths. It is within twelve feet of my living room and it is so quiet I often double check to make sure I turned it on. So far I am very pleased with it.

I purchased this product six months ago and it seems to be running good except for some very loud clunking noises. The clunking seems to happen during the rinse cycle and I'm waiting for my next wash day to evaluate it further, to see if a repair is in order. The rest of the cycles are fine and quiet.

Having purchased the Centennial power wash,we are pleased of it'so features and performance. With it'so deep 3.6 cu. ft. basin and agitor, the wash is powerful and gets the hardest of dirty and stains out. The lint tray is easy to access and clean.Above all,it is far superior than an washer that has no agitor with just the spin cycles. I think the Maytag corporation made a big screw up by making their washers without the agitor, even though it saves you a few pennies a wash. People want powerful agitation to get every stain and dirt out. I recommend the Centennial PowerWash for all washing needs people!!!

I have had this washer for a month now and it does a great job cleaning Clothes. I would rather the lid did not lock but understand why it is necessary for safety. If you pause the machine you can open the lid and then restart it. Unfortunately this washer is discontinued and the replacement has no agitator and only automatic water level control. I buy a washing machine to get my clothes clean not to save water. Low water level equal reduced cleaning. Maytag has a great reputation and I am looking forward to 25 years of service from this washer.

Works great..just takes double the time of the washer I was replacing for the same results. Found out after my purchase that it was the very same model my daughter had been complaining was so slow in her apt building. No complaint on cleanliness of clothes however...works well.
