I have had this refrigerator for about 2 years now. It is the second I have had of this model, as the first was so repair prone that Whirlpool actually replaced it after 5 repair calls for the same issue failed to repair it. This one has the same issue with ice damming up in the refrigerator interior, which periodically requires defrosting it with a hair dryer. Additionally, the interior lights have stopped working as of today. They are LED, so they should not require replacement after 2 years. Hands down, the worst appliance I have ever purchased, and exceptionally expensive one at that.

I bought my brand new fridge 2 years ago on september 5th we had an issue with or fridge a few months in of a load noise and they found styrofoam fell into the evap fan.. after my 1 year warranty ive had problems with ice building in the bottom of the freezer not allowing the freezer door to open that happens about every other week now i have a service man out outside of warranty paying out of pocket to repair an issue of not cooling because my evap coil is a block of ice!! I should not be paying hundreds of dollars 2 years after buying a 2000 dollar refrigerator!!! Never again!!!!!

The left door hasn’t closed correctly since it was installed. They repaired it last time saying it was misaligned. Well it started again less than a month after it was repaired. Now the ice maker doesn’t make ice very well antd I have the dang Motorcycle sound from the fan. I Can’t wait to have this repaired again. I had an LG fridge for 10 years that never had to be repaired.
