Frigidaire 20.4 Cu. Ft. Top Freezer Refrigerator

THREE YEARS OLD I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE FREEZER FAN ONCE AND THE CONTROL THERMOSTAT ONCE NOW SOMETHING ELSE IS WRONG WITH THE FREEZER IT WONT SHUT OFF VERY AGGRAVATING

Purchased this fridge along with Frigidaire over the range microwave and gas stove. Fridge works good but the plastic pieces on the doors of the fridge and freezer to hold items on the shelves CONSTANTLY fall off, spilling everything on the floor, not to mention falling on toes. I’ve never had this happen with the countless other fridges I have had. Definitely would not buy this particular fridge again unless the design was changed.

My last review was not approved for including profanity, which it did not at all! I have read incentivized reviews with profanity in them, but that’s okay. It was also denied for not mentioning a competitor. I did refer to previous refrigerators and not having the same problems. I did mention shipping complaints from Frigidaire for replacement parts that cut my daughters finger and was another reason my review was denied... due to shipping complaints. Another problem with my review apparently had inappropriate pictures, every picture I posted were in line with the guidelines and no different than others I have seen. There were other reasons my review was not posted. My review that was not approved was as followsWe bought this fridge less than 6 months ago and have already had so many problems with it. First the door shelf design is horrible! We do not put heavy stuff in it like milk or anything like that. The middle and bottom door racks ended up breaking and causing a huge mess from glass shattering. Luckily my kids weren’t right there to get hurt. It is not safe at all! I called Frigidaire about the door racks and they sent me two replacements. They seem to fit a little better, but still very flimsy. My daughter and I were cleaning out the fridge per the instruction manual. When she went to put one of the crisper drawers back in she cut her thumb on the sharp plastic. I also inquired about a replacement for that and that has yet to show up. The fridge is shown to have a capacity of 20.4, which is pretty large. Something we were looking for when replacing our last one since we are a family of 6. Now the shelves in the fridge are starting to sag in the middle. That shouldn’t happen in less than 6 months. I have always bought the same things and used our previous fridges the same way when storing our food. This is a huge design flaw and completely unsafe! The door to the fridge started making a grinding noise, upon further investigation the door/hinge on the bottom is rubbing against each other. The freezer door shelves are just like the fridge. Flimsy and come off easily. I don’t know about you but having a frozen pack of vegetables or a lb of meat fall on your toe doesn’t feel to good. The fridge is very loud when making ice, but it makes it pretty well and fast compared to our previous fridges. Also we have a deep freezer we keep a lot of food, so it’s not like this is our only option for storage.This review was not paid for.

If the side shelves would stop falling out from the door, I would be much happier with this refrigerator. The middle shelf just fell also. All in all it does the job for as an extra refrigerator.
